Position: We are currently looking to hire an Account Executive for our Rocky Hill, CT operations.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in services/solution sales and/or software sales, preferably selling 100% customized professional software services
6+ years of experience within the Hartford, CT market
Less than 30 mile commute to our Rocky Hill office
Must have prior sales experience selling services utilizing one or more of the following technologies: J2EE and Microsoft .NET. A previous relationship with Microsoft is a plus.
Candidates must have proven C-level solutions selling experience.
Ideal candidates will have an extensive and current contact base with Fortune 500 or 1000 companies and proven successful vendor relationships with those contacts.
Proven sales results: Demonstrated (with examples) ability to develop long-standing relationships (several key executive relationships) and sales results (several million dollars per year in sales). For relationships, candidate must be willing to provide specific examples including local Hartford company names and the position level of the relationship. For sales results candidate must be willing to share quota and achievement information.
Must be successful working in a fast paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent written and communication skills are necessary.
Training on and experience using Strategic Selling or other sales methodology is required.
Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
Must be willing to travel primarily within CT; other travel may be required.
Outgoing Personality, but knows when to listen
Vertical experience in financial services, retail, insurance and pharmaceutical industries is a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:
Tallan’s Account Executives are responsible for generating and sustaining profitable revenue streams from the sale of software development projects, as well as from engagements that support our creative service practice.
The Account Executive establishes and maintains relationships with strategic buying influences at client organizations in order to monitor and maintain customer satisfaction levels and to uncover opportunities for new projects.
The Account Executive works closely and effectively with regional management and colleagues from other support groups within Tallan. He/She will be responsible for managing all phases of the sales cycle including proposal development.
The Account Executive is continually focused on expanding his/her business base by attending local networking events and by establishing relationships with professionals from alliance/ business partners.
